The versatility of this route makes it a great paddle and a new experience for some. Enjoy the crystal clear waters of Georgian Bay from Matchedash Bay out to Green Island. Take in the rugged beauty of the rock cuts and your backdrop as you paddle around Green Island – you have entered the Georgian Bay 30,000 Islands National Park. For those more experienced, go a bit further and out into the open water of Georgian Bay but note that winds can blow up out of nowhere taking the waters from calm to extreme in the matter of minutes. Connect to the Coldwater River Route through the opposite end of Matchedash Bay.
